Description
It makes a perfect gift for any occasion. This serving platter was hand painted by the owner of NICSI Ceramics in Griffith, Indiana. Unfortunately, the owner, Rhomilda "Mel" Rosenwinkel has passed away and the store has been closed. Mel was a dealer for Duncan Ceramics of Fresno, California and she made most of her finished pieces for use in her ceramic classes. It is very possible that this platter was made from a Duncan mold. Mel also did her own firing of the pieces she finished for display in her store. This platter was made sometime in the late 90's or early 2000's. It's still a nice plate and in good condition.
