Before rewiring any ceiling fan. Turn off electrical current at source by turning off circuit breakers. 2. Take photos or write down the wire color of the existing fan switch and the connected terminal number.(1, 2, 3, L). 3. Cut the four wires from the existing fan switch using wire stripper. 4. Strip wires around 1/2 inch. 5. Connect the four wires of the new fan switch to the corresponding wires. (Refer to step 2) 6.
