Alpha Arbutin Bearberry Extract Alpha-Arbutin (4- Hydroxyphenyl-±-D-glucopyranoside) is a 98% pure hyperpigmentation, a water-soluble, active ingredient extracted from the Bearberry Plant. Alpha-arbutin blocks epidermal melanin synthesis by inhibiting enzymatic oxidation of Tyrosine and Dopa. Arbutin is a derivative of hydroquinone that has fewer side effects because of its slow-release action. It is the more effective, faster, and safer approach to promoting skin-brightening and an even skin tone on all skin types. Alpha-Arbutin also reduces age and sun-related spots and is found in many skin-brightening and skin depigmentation products.
