Curly willow isn't fussy about soil and adapts to clay, loam, or sand. Similarly, it tolerates either sun or partial shade. To plant and care for a curly weeping willow (also known as a corkscrew willow), choose a sunny location with well-drained soil, plant it in a hole three times wider than the root ball, water deeply, and mulch to retain moisture.
