In designating the Trico interconnect Product of the Year, esteemed British publication Hi-Fi Choice said this: "A digital coaxial cable with good materials and workmanship, this one offered distinctly improved performance over freebies with a variety of DACs when tested. Its most obvious benefits are in the depth of the stereo image, and also its well-extended tonal palette and weighty bass." Trico is a 75-ohm double-screened coaxial interconnect cable for digital/video signals: Connect your CD or DVD transport, music server, or computer sound card digital output to an external DAC. Of extremely low capacitance, Supra Trico is insulated with PE foam - which renders only 58 pF/m and propagation velocity of 78% of light speed. Trico is double shielded, with a braided inner screen of silver-plated OFC copper and an outer of bare OFC copper. The screens provide efficient protection from hum and noise caused by electromagnetic fields; center wires are of silver-plated OFC copper. (The silver plating of the conductor/screen enhances the high frequency properties of the cable.) Semi-balanced connection configuration makes Trico immune to electromagnetic interference: it's noise-free . The outer screen is connected to earth at only one end of the cable; there's therefore no signal conducted through that screen.
