Description

This is a rare and unique antique table lamp that was manufactured between 1850-1899. The lamp features a beautiful lion and cherub design, with a red light color and a multicolor pattern. It is made of bronze, brass, and glass materials, and has a dial control style with a brown cord color. The lamp is corded electric and is rare and difficult to find. The lamp is designed in the Victorian style and has a steampunk, funky, and mosaic design that makes it very special. The lamp is perfect for collectors and enthusiasts of antique lamps, and it will make a great addition to any collection. The manufacturer is believed to be Bradley Hubbard, and the lamp is an original and authentic piece. This is a very rare lion, rampant, Cherub / Puttie lamp. The lamp is made of brass with a very nice patina. The lamp has the internal oil components except where the electric socket sits in wick retainer. The wick retainer is missing. The electric lamp is in great working condition with a roller on / off switch. There is one small and barely noticeable scratch / indention at the top of one side. This lamp has not been cleaned to preserve the integrity of the value. The lamp has two lions / rampant (one on each side) and two Cherub / Puttie figures (one on each handle). The globe is on a 4 inch fitter and has some minor flea bites around the rims. The globe is a rare red coin dot globe. The light from the globe gives off a beautiful effect on the ceiling. This is believed to be Bradley and Hubbard. This is truly one of a kind and I have not seen another one like this in my 40 years of collecting. This lamp came from a grand estate mansion in England and has been a part of my personal collection for many years. I am happy to answer any questions about this rare find. Please see photos for description AS the lamp Is.
