Description

This is a great example of the whimsy that colors Tony Bledsoe from Blowing Rock and Winston Salem, North Carolina's work. Whether it is a plate, bowl or one of these remarkable 'ugly' face jug pieces, it's got tons of personality! This is a quirky mustached man who seems to be in a bit of a tizzy with his hands on his hips. The piece is in great condition with no noted damage. I believe this piece is from 1983 but with the script it's written in it could also be 89. This oil lamp does not come with a chimney (slightly adjustable fit for standard chimney glass by bending the arms) and it does come with its original wick. The wick does need to be replaced as it is too short on the bottom to sit in the oil and absorb anymore as this piece is a working piece. (Easily purchased from the big A or even a local hardware store) The rotary dial works well to raise and lower the wick. This is surely a great conversation piece with attitude! Approximate measurements: 9"H (with wick holder) 7"W x 5½"Diam base 2 lb 14 oz Note: Used condition. Please examine all of the pictures closely, as they are part of the description.
